And there it is! The Giant’s first win of the season came in a blowout 30-17 win over the Houston Texans. New York dominated on both sides of the ball all game long and it ended with an impressive win for the Gmen.

The Giants started their first two scoring chances of the game by fumbling the ball and having field goal blocked, but then the clouds started to open up and so did the passing game for the Giants. Later into the second quarter of the game the Giants finally found the end zone. Eli threw two 13 yd passes to Preston Parker and then hit Victor Cruz in stride for the 26 yd touchdown run. It was the first Giant’s salsa dance of the season.

Then on Houston’s next possession Antrel Rolle intercepted a pass intended for Texan’s wideout, Andre Johnson. Rolle almost took it all the way before being tackled at the 2 yd line. Rashad Jennings capped it off in the end zone with the 1yd run. Jennings carried the load big time in the first half with 88 yds on 18 rushes.

Out of the half the Texans started to inch themselves back into the game by scoring ten unanswered points. One being a 44 yd touchdown pass over the top to Damaris Johnson from Ryan Fitzpatrick.

But then New York answered with a 29 yd Brown field goal and returned to their dominance later on.

Later in the fourth quarter, a blocked punt by the Giants’ Damontre Moore led to a 9-yard touchdown pass from Manning to Daniel Fells. An interception by cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie gave the Giants the ball in the red zone. Then a 31-yard Brown field goal gave the Giants a 20-point lead.

Victor Cruz and Rashad Jennings both had big days for the Gmen. Rashad Jennings rushed for a career- high 176 yards and a touchdown and Cruz amasses 107 yds and a touchdown on 5 receptions.

The Giants who haven’t forced any turnovers this season made up for it in one game today. They had three picks and Eli threw none. All in all a good win for the Giants who will have a short week coming up as the team will travel to the nation’s capital to take on Washington on Thursday night.
