A Bounce Back Win

NY Knicks:  How will the Knicks fare tonight at the worlds most famous arena?  After the disappointing lost to the Raptors in Toronto last night, it was a bad night offensively for the Knicks as Carmelo Anthony and Jeremy Lin combined for 18 points.  It’s important for the Knicks to defend their home court as they host the struggling Detroit Pistons.

A slow start for the Knicks in the first quarter as local product Ben Gordon got the Pistons going from downtown, Gordon would finish the quarter with 8 points.  Again it was Amar’e Stoudemire with 10 point in the first half, keeping the Knicks in the  game.  Tyson Chandler bounced back from his poor performance last night  in Toronto with 11 points and 14 rebounds in the first half.

In the 3rd quarter it was all Knicks as Jeremy Lin found the range, knocking down two three-pointers in the quarter.  Carmelo Anthony finally found the basket, shooting 4 for 4, giving him 15 points on the night.  It was all downhill for the Pistons after that, no energy, no sense of urgency, basically conceding the game to the Knicks.

By the begining of the fourth quarter the Knicks were up by 15 points. Reports from the Knicks lockeroom had Amar’e Stoudemire out with a strained back – he’s day to day. Another blowout win for the Knicks as they cruised to victory over the struggling Pistons, 101 to 79.
