A one hour delay to the highly anticipated game at Yankee Stadium between two rivals maybe have slowed down Henrik Lundqvist and the New York Rangers, but it wouldn’t be long until some fortunate bounces and fast skating helped the Rangers rally back from a two goal deficit to blowout the devils by a score of 7-3.

The Devils’ Patrik Elias scored the first ever goal at Yankee stadium on the breakaway after a great feed from former Rangers, Ryan Clowe. Now tied a one with a quick goal by Dominic Moore, Elias would again put his team up one on the power-play. Fellow Czeck and linemate Jaromir Jagr carried the puck down the left circle and fed it in front past a diving Lundqvist for the easy tap in. Marc Staal would fire in a shot throught the legs of Broduer at the end of the first to make it 3-2.

The start of the second period and snow now falling from the skies certainly seemed to spark something in the rangers as it was all red white and blue from there on out. Mats Zuccarello scored the game tying and game winning goal, one off his skate and one off his stick. Hagelin, Nash, and Stepan would also get goals to further insure their victory.

Did You Know? : Martin Broduer was pulled for the first time this season. Jagr passed Mario Lemieux on the all-time assist list. Zuccarello scored 2 goals for the first time this season. 13 different Ranger players accorded at least one point. Derek Stepan is the first player in NHL history to successfully score a penalty shot goal in an outdoor game.
