The Yankees come in having won six of their last seven games and currently sit two games back of Boston for first place in the American League East. The Yankees have rode their hot pitching thus far this season and will likely continue to rely on them for at least the remainder of this west coast trip.

Starting today the Yankees play three games at Oakland followed by a three game weekend set against the Angels. Oakland has built off of their surprising success from last year and is just one game back of the Texas Rangers for first in the AL West. The Yankees lost two out of three at home against the A’s back in early May.

The Angels meanwhile have disappointed again this year, despite a lineup featuring Mike Trout, Albert Pujols, and Josh Hamilton. They’ve lost eight of their last ten games and are a whopping 11.5 games out first place in their division. The Yankees have not faced the Angels this year and will hope that these struggles continue, at least through the weekend. Here are the scheduled pitching matchups for all games this week.

Tuesday vs A’s 10 pm: CC Sabathia (6-4 3.74 ERA) vs. Bartolo Colon (7-2 3.14 ERA)

Wednesday 10 pm: Phil Hughes (3-4 4.80 ERA) vs. Dan Straily (3-2 4.67 ERA)

Thursday 3:35 pm: Hiroki Kuroda (6-5 2.84 ERA) vs. Jarrod Parker (5-6 4.68 ERA)

Friday vs. Angels 10 pm: Andy Pettitte (5-3 3.82 ERA) vs. Tommy Hanson (3-2 4.12 ERA)

Saturday 7 pm: David Phelps (4-3 3.90 ERA) vs. CJ Wilson (4-5 4.02 ERA)

Sunday 3:35 pm: CC Sabathia vs. Joe Blanton (1-10 5.87 ERA)
