Unthankful Performance

East Rutherford, NJ:  What an embarrassing performance by the Jets on Thanksgiving night!  How can you call yourself a professional football team?  I feel for the fans, especially the season ticket holders.  Someone needs to be held accountable for this uninspired effort.

Members of the press were actually laughing in the Press Box. If this was a pop warner game the officials would have stopped the game.

Sanchez was sacked on third down on New York’s next series, and Brady wasted no time in creating even more separation. He fired a strike to a streaking Edelman for a 56-yard score to push the Patriots’ advantage to 35-0 before the Jets’ Nick Folk connected on a 32-yard field goal just before the half.

Mark Sanchez threw for 301 yards and a touchdown on 26-of-36 passing, but was intercepted once and also lost a fumble that resulted in a Patriots touchdown.

Brady finished 18 of 28 for 323 yards before leaving with 2 minutes left in the game. He reached 3,000 yards passing for the 10th time, becoming one of six players to accomplish the feat. He also passed Dan Fouts for 10th place on the career passing list.

Coach Ryan still believes his team has a chance to improve. “We believe in the guys in this locker room. It’s my job to make sure that I prepare this team during the week to perform on Sundays.”  The Jets are 4-7 on the season with five games remaining.

The Patriots defeated the Jets 49 to 19 in a laugher.
