The Rangers will try to avoid a series sweep against the Bruins at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night. The Rangers have been outplayed by a balanced and championship tested team, and the Bruins will try to close it out in four games, so they can rest up for the Eastern Conference Finals.

If the Rangers want to show any sense of pride, tonight is the night to do so. Getting swept at home would be an embarrassment for this prideful organization, so look for the Rangers to show some fight. There is still some hope as The Bruins are still haunted by memories of 2010, when they lost their Eastern Conference Semi-Finals match-up to the Flyers after going ahead 3-0, allowing Philadelphia to advance to the Eastern Conference finals.

On a side note, John Tortorella called Brad Richards Thursday morning to give him the news that he will be a healthy scratch for tonight’s game. The veteran center and alternate captain is former Conn Smythe Trophy winner and won the Stanley Cup with John Tortorella and the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004.
