Sunday the practice squads were announced. This came following a long list of cuts on Saturday to finalize the roster for the 2014-15 NFL season. Among the notables on that cut list were: Stephen Hill, Dimitri Patterson, Clyde Gates, and Tahj Boyd. Those making the practice squad were: Quincy Enunwa, Tevita Finau, Jeremiah George, Kerry Hyder, LeQuan Lewis, Rontez Miles, Chris Pantale, Brent Qvale, Daryl Richardson, and Matt Simms.
Yesterday the Jets were busy making moves, signing free agent linebacker A.J. Edds. Edds hasn’t played since 2011, with the Indianapolis Colts, and New England Patriots, and was released just two days prior. Also on the defensive side of the ball, the Jets signed free agent cornerback Phillip Adams. Adams spent his previous two seasons with the Oakland Raiders, and looks to add depth to a depleted Jets secondary. For the offense, the Jets claimed wide receiver, Walt Powell from waivers from the Arizona Cardinals. Powell was drafted in the 6th round by the Cardinals out of Murray St.
