No Defense!!

NY Knicks:  After lackluster efforts on Monday night against the Toronto Raptors, the Knicks came out with the intensity expected against the Charlotte Bobcats. Although the defense still needs tweaking, they managed to keep the game close in the 1st quarter. Iman Shumpert was key, coming off the bench to spark the offense.  Shumpert has missed the last four games (with a sprained right MCL).  His offense has sorely been missed, Amar’e Stoudemire is back on the court after missing two games with a sprained right ankle. We can only hope his presence will make a difference in the game tonight. But the Bobcats, with owner Michael Jordan sitting court-side, are putting on an offense show.  Boris Diaw was on fire 7 for 7 from the field, pushing the Bobcats lead to 14 with 3:20 left in the second quarter. The Bobcats came out in the third quarter the with same attitude, making the Knick’s look sub-par.  The Garden crowd became hostile with the poor defense played by the Knicks.  With the addition of Tyson Chandler, defense was suppose to be much improved.  Something has to give – there seems to be no offensive scheme. The Knicks are playing one-on-one basketball looking totally out of sync- this will go down as a bad loss. There is lots of blame to go around, but it all comes down to DEFENSE!!!!. The Charlotte Bobcats would go on to win 118 to 110.
