Nets Lose to Suns, 108-100

BROOKLYN – The Brooklyn Nets lost a game that they should have won Friday night against the Phoenix Suns. The Suns rallied together and came out of the Barclay Center with a 108-100 win.

It was a total team effort for Phoenix as 4 starters scored in double figures (3 players with 19 points), and 2 bench players added double figures as well. The Morris twins caused havoc all night against the Nets. Both scored 19 points in 41 minutes each, and had 12 rebounds combined. Although Phoenix got no help from behind the arc (3-26), they did a great job of getting to the free throw line (27-35).

Brooklyn shot a poor 35% from the field. This did not help their cause since they also committed 20 turnovers. Joe Johnson was the only starter in double figures with 11 points, and also added 7 rebounds. Most of their production came from the bench, as 5 bench players scored in double figures. The Nets were led in scoring by Brook Lopez who had a double double (19 points, 13 rebounds) along with Cory Jefferson (12 points, 13 rebounds).

The Nets will need to get more production from their starters, and also need to take better care of the basketball. If these problems get fixed, they will pick up a win Sunday against Utah.
