The 2013 NBA Draft is scheduled to take place this Thursday, June 27th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The teams with the top-5 picks of the first round in order are;

1) Cleveland Cavaliers

2) Orlando Magic

3) Washington Wizards

4) Charlotte Bobcats

5) Phoenix Suns

While the talent in this draft class is not consider to be a ‘strong’ one, and is not considered a draft that will set up the future of the NBA for decades to come, like the draft held 10 years ago in New York City. 10 years ago, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade were all selected within the first 5 picks, with Darko Milicic rounding out the last spot. Nonetheless, draft night always creates buzz and drama as this truly is reality T.V. Unlike the NFL Draft, the NBA Draft only has 2 rounds and draft night trades run rampant.

Brooklyn is excited in hosting its first ever NBA Draft, with numerous activities and nightlife events that come with it. Look for the biggest names in this years draft class to enjoy New York City and Brooklyn, as they are ever so close to reaching their dreams and making it to the NBA. Nerlens Noel is widely considered to be the overall number 1 pick, but in any draft, one never knows.
