Nash back in lineup: Rangers fall to Bruins

NY Rangers: Much of the attention going into this game was about the Rangers getting Rick Nash back from a concussion, but Tuuka Rask completely stole the spotlight. Rask made 43 saves to lead the tired Bruins to a 2-1 victory on Tuesday night.

After some opening game pressure from the Rangers, Chris Kreider was taken down on a breakaway and rewarded with a penalty shot. The arena was on their feet as Kreider snapped a shot to the blocker side but Rask got a piece of it.

Later in the second Boston capitalized on some blueshirt mistakes giving up a goal on a 2 on 1, then another by Daniel Paille shorthanded. Derek Brassard quickly got that goal right back to bring this game back to one. Lundqvist was stellar in the 3rd to give the Rangers a chance but it seemed as if nothing else was getting past the Bruins goaltender.

Special Notes: Zdeno Chara recorded 31:27 minutes of ice time. Six different Rangers had at least 4 shots.
