Rafael Nadal beat Novak Djokovic last night in 4 sets (6-2, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1). During the second and third set, it seemed as if Djokovic had Rafa’s number. However, Rafa came roaring back to claim his second US Open Championship. He now has 13 Grand Slams to his record, good enough for 3rd all time. He trails Pete Sampras (who has 14 Grand Slams) and is slowly creeping up on Rodger Federer (who has 17 Grand Slams).

The only question left now is will Rafa’s knee’s hold up to allow him to catch Federer? Either way, both Rafa and Djokovic put a show on for the fans last night in the final major of the year.
