Big week in Mets’ land as the team travels to two division rivals. First, five games with the Braves in Atlanta with a doubleheader taking place Tuesday. From there the Mets travel to Philadelphia for a three game set with the Phillies.

The big news this week is that Zack Wheeler, considered one of the top starting pitching prospects in baseball, is expected to make his first start during the second game on Tuesday’s doubleheader. The Mets acquired Wheeler one exchange for Carlos Beltran and have been counting the days until his arrival since the trade.

Hopefully Wheeler will add some energy to a team that could badly use a boost. To make things better, Harvey will pitch the first game of the doubleheader before Wheeler takes the mound. This gives fans who are ready to watch a look at the Mets two future aces. Here is a look at all the pitching probables this week

Monday June 17th vs. Atlanta 7 pm: Dillon Gee (5-6 4.84 ERA) vs. Tim Hudson (4-6 4.41 ERA)

Tuesday June 18th 1 pm: Matt Harvey (5-1 2.04 ERA) vs. Alex Wood (0-0 3.52)

Tuesday June 18th 7 pm: Zack Wheeler (First career start) vs. Paul Maholm (7-5 3.65 ERA)

Wednesday June 19th 7 pm: Shaun Marcum (0-8 5.43 ERA) vs. Kris Medlen (3-7 3.09 ERA)

Thursday June 20th 7pm: Jonathon Niese (3-6 4.15 ERA) vs. Mike Minor (8-2 2.68 ERA)

Friday June 21st vs. Phillies 7 pm: Jeremy Hefner (1-6 3.96) vs. Jonathan Pettibone (3-3 4.40 ERA)

Saturday June 22nd 4 pm: Dillon Gee vs. Cole Hamels (2-10 4.40 ERA
