Kreider scores late tying goal; Rangers fall in OT 4-3

NY Rangers: The Devils got some early chances but the Rangers would get the game’s first goal with a wrist shot off Brad Richards stick. Mats Zuccarello would double the lead in the second off a rebound shot by Callahan. Then things get interesting.

Tim Sestito fired a puck on net and deflect in off of Cam Janssen’s skate. It was called  a good goal on the ice and after further review, it would stand. It seemed to have been kicked in but its neither here or there.

Travis Zajac would tie things up in the third after a strong play by former Ranger Jaromir Jagr. Later in the third at the 15:58 mark, Michael Ryder would deke past John Moore and give the Devils the lead. With less than a minute left in the period. Chris Kreider tied things up on the power-play after Zajac sent a puck over the glass for a delay of game.

In Overtime, Callahan would receive a 4 minute minor penalty and Eric Gelinas would get a goal from a blistering slap shot.

This is now the third straight loss for the Rangers against the Devils.
