October 31, 2015, New York City  Former NFL quarterback Kordell Stewart is suing a reality star and Catalyst Next, the parent company of an online radio show, against claims about him having a homosexual affair. Andrew Caldwell appeared on The ShakeUP Morning Show earlier this month to promote his upcoming series, “The Gospel Truth,” and discussed having a sexual relationship with Stewart. The lawsuit states that the interview was staged for publicity. The suit also says Caldwell apologized to Stewart for lying about even knowing each other. “ShakeUp” founder, Jarrius Keyun Moon, who is also the creator of “The Gospel Truth,” is named as a defendant in the case. Stewart’s lawsuit seeks “general and special damages for… loss of earnings, emotional distress and impairment to his reputation.” Catalyst Next denies these claims in a statement on their website, “…. In line, with our standard practices, the interview was posted on our web and social media platforms, promoted and shared. [We have] no affiliation or relationship of record with Andrew Caldwell, Jarrius K. Moon or Kordell Stewart. Our attempts to reach Kordell Stewart for clarification or comment have gone repeatedly unanswered. Once officially served, Catalyst Next legal counsel will respond accordingly.” Since last year, Caldwell has been dubbed as the “Not Gay No More” guy after a video of him telling a church that he had been “delivered from homosexuality” became viral. We’ll see how this controversy will affect “The Gospel Truth” when it premieres later next month.
