The Knicks came into Friday night trying to get back on the right track after losing three straight. Carmelo Anthony would face his former team who he has struggled shooting against since being traded. New York came out strong and got a 27 point win in a game where the Knicks would have an all around team effort. The Knicks were clicking on all cylinders and outscored the Nuggets 67-46.

Carmelo Anthony had a great game and got to rest the entire fourth quarter. Anthony totaled 31 points in just the three quarters of play. Melo then sat out the entire fourth quarter as the Knicks went on to score 34 points in the fourth quarter. The Knicks big fourth quarter came after a big third quarter in which they scored 33 points. Amare Stoudemire scored 17 points in 20 minutes while Jeremy Tyler had 12 points and an impressive 11 rebounds to help the Knicks roll past the Nuggets. The Knicks had four bench players with double digit points Friday night as well as Anthony and Tyson Chandler were also in double figures.

The Nuggets were lead by Ty Lawson who had 24 points and 7 assists on the night. Former Knick Wilson Chandler had 17 points while Kenneth Faried added 12 points on the night. The Nuggets would also commit 24 turnovers on the disappointing night where they would try to go for their third straight win.

The Nuggets dropped to 24-24 on the season and fall to four and a half games out of the western conference playoffs race. The Knicks improved to 20- 30 on the season but stand just two games behind the eighth place Charlotte Bobcats. Next the Knicks will travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder on Sunday. The Knicks will continue to try and turn the season around as they fight to make the playoffs.
