Knicks Can’t Win At Home

New York: The Knicks suffered thier 24th loss at home a franchise record for home losses. Shades of the days before Patrick Ewing arrived to revitize Madison Square Garden.  Timberwolves playing without Karl -Anthony Towns, who is in the concussion protocol, for the first time since he was taken with the first overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the Timberwolves inserted Taj Gibson — who gave them a season-high 19 points to go with 10 rebounds. The Knicks made Minnesota’s adjustment even easier by turning the ball over 23 times. Fromer Knick Derrick Rose emereged from the bench to drop 20 points, continuing to show his fromer MVP status.

“I think we all kind of are in that boat right now, coming off a break,” Fizdale said. “But there was definitely something there because some of our timing on our passes and some of our turnovers was just wild. Our focus defensively on just guarding guys from the standpoint of awareness, staying down on shot fakes. We went up, I guarantee it was 10-plus times we went up on shot fakes. That’s just a lack of focus and those are things that we can control.” Brighter days are ahead for the Knicks in the upcoming free agency this summer.
