October 18, 2015, Queens, NY  The New York Jets handled their business in beating Washington 34-20 in a game that wasn’t even that close, at least not in the second half. Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had a strong outing, 19/26 for 253 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception, for a rating of 113.1.

The Jets played a sluggish first half, turning over the ball three times. They were lucky to find themselves down by only a field goal, trailing 13-10. No doubt that head coach Todd Bowles had a few choice words for his under-performing team as they came out to dominate the second half and improve their record to 4-1.

Darrelle Revis was, well, his usual Hall of Fame self as he picked off Kirk Cousins. Revis will be interviewed on CBS’s 60 Minutes broadcast later this evening. Chris Ivory rushed for 146 yards on only 20 carries for 7.3 yards per carry, scoring one touchdown. Brandon Marshall caught seven ball for 111 yards and scored a touchdown.

Next week, the Jets head to Foxboro to play the New England Patriots. There won’t be the kind of hype for the game that was prevalent during Rex Ryan’s coaching era, but it will still be a highly anticipated game between two of the AFC East’s best teams.
