The Jets announced that Sunday’s season opener at MetLife Stadium against the Oakland Raiders will be a “White Out” game. All fans in attendance have been urged to show their support in white Jets apparel. The players will return the favor by wearing their white uniforms with the white pants as well. Under Rex Ryan, the Jets are 4-0 in September home games wearing the white uniforms. Ryan is looking to utilize any advantage, and the Jets hope the call out to their fans will give them the home field advantage they need.

Also making the news leading up to Sunday’s season opener, was practice squad wide receiver Quincy Enunwa. Enunwa was arrested over the weekend on a domestic violence charge. The rookie is accused of pulling his girlfriend by her ankles off the bed, and in the process injuring her. Yesterday, Enunwa pled not guilty to the alleged charges. The new domestic violence policy, largely influenced by the Ray Rice incident, gives 1st time offenders a six game suspension. This applies to practice squad members as well, which will not help Enunwa’s chances of being promoted from the practice squad.

Dee Milliner still did not practice today, however Ryan has not ruled out his top corner for Sunday’s game. Milliner has been out since Aug 10 with a high ankle sprain. Antonio Allen and Darrin Walls will be starting opposite each other at cornerback, if Milliner can’t play. Allen would be making his first start and for Walls this would be his fifth start. The Jets will need them in top form against the newly named starter for the Raiders, Derek Carr.
