Jets & Bears Injury Report 9/21

ByBarry Holmes

Sep 21, 2014

A day away from their Monday Night Football matchup against the Bears, the Jets have a longer injury list than they did last week. Nick Bellore (Hip), Josh Bush (Quadriceps), Quinton Coples (Elbow), and A.J. Edds (Hamstring) all are probable on the defensive side of the ball. Dee Milliner did not practice Friday or Saturday and is listed as doubtful. He did not look 100% healthy last week against the Packers, especially looking bad getting beat on a double move by Jordy Nelson which proved to be the game winning score. Look for Antonio Allen and Darren Walls to fill in again and have a repeat good performance like Week 1 against the Raiders.

Offensively Willie Colon (Calf), Nick Mangold (Shoulder) and Chris Johnson (Ankle) are all probable as well. All three participated in full practice on Saturday, and should be in there ready to play on Monday night. Eric Decker (Hamstring) did not practice Thursday or Friday. He was limited in practice on Saturday, and could be a gametime decision ultimately. The Jets will need him on the field against the Bears, as he has been their most consistent receiver. Decker so far in the 2014 campaign has 9 receptions for 137 yards and 1 TD.

On the Bears side, Jared Allen (back), Chris Conte (shoulder), and Josh Morgan (groin) are all probable for Monday. Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and Brandon Marshall (ankle) are both questionable. However for a game on the national stage, I can’t see both not playing, especially Marshall. Trevor Scott (foot) has been ruled doubtful, and Roberto Garza (shoulder), Shea McClellin (hand), Sherrick McManis (quadriceps), Jeremiah Ratliff (concussion) and Matt Slauson (ankle) are all out for Monday’s contest.
