East Rutherford: NY Giants host the Washington Redskins at MetLife Stadium today. Both teams are at bottom of the NFC East the Giants at 4-9 and the Redskins with a 3-10 record. The Giants got on the board first when Eli connected with Odell Beckham 10 yard for the touchdown 7-0 at the end of the first quarter. Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy left the game late in the first quarter replaced by Robert Griffin lll, This season has been a disappointing one for Griffin. He was bench by Head Coach Jay Gruden, after lack luster start.

It didn’t take long for RG lll, to get  the Redskins on the board, connecting with C. Thompson to tie the game 7-7. The Redskins offense was affective in the first half led by Griffin, time of possession 18:09. At the end of the half Griffin scrambled 10 yard for potential touchdown to take the lead. The play was called a touchback when Griffin fumbled the ball out of the end zone forcing a touchback. Redskins led at the half 10-3.

 

The Giants came out blazing in the 3rd quarter. Eli Manning and the offense move the ball down the field with ease.  Which ending in a 35 yard touchdown pass to Odell Beckman giving the Giants 17 to 13 lead. Eli would connect with Beckman again but the touchdown was called back for holding on the Giants offense. Odell Beckman dominated the Redskins defense  with 13 catches and three touchdowns.

Manning and Beckham combined 12 times for 143 yards, with touchdown passes covering 10, 35 and 6 yards. The win was the second straight for the Giants (5-9) after seven straight losses.
