Geno Smith and Jay-Z’s newly formed Roc Nation Sports agency are now in business together. The Jets second rounds selection search came to an end Wednesday, when Smith announced he had hired Roc Nation Sports. Smith still remains unsigned by the Jets, and Kim Miale will serve as his contract agent.

Smith told The Daily News, “I think it’s just his agency. When you talk about being in New York from a standpoint of what they can do in the city, the connections that they have, I think it’s a good move. My mother and my family were comfortable with it. I’m comfortable with it.”

Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports appears to be gaining some traction. Last month, New York Yankees All-Star Robinson Cano was the first star to sign with Roc Nation Sports, and he is expected to command one of the biggest contracts in baseball next off-season. Jay-Z’s agency, which is partnered with CAA Sports, has already launched its aggressive marketing campaign, as they are targeting Brazilian International soccer super-star Neymar as well.
