NY Knicks: 100 million dollar man and NY Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire takes his talents to Houston, to work out with Hall-of-Famer Hakeem Olajuwon.  Olajuwon has trained Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, and Lebron James in the past.
After a sub-par season Stoudemire has sought guidance to improve his skills on low post.  Amar’e has been in Houston for a week working on low post moves that he knows will improve his game.  Amare’ said “A lot of moves that he has really, really translate to my game. To now develop a post-game is going to be remarkable for me.”

Stoudemire  averaged 17.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game last season for the Knicks. After a number of injuries and personal issues it was obvious that Stoudemire was not the same player.  So the fact that Stoudemire is healthy and working on his game is worth applauding.

Interestingly, the biggest flaw in Stoudemire’s 2011-12 game wasn’t around the rim, where he took a comparable percentage of shots as in 2010-11 while making a significantly higher percentage of them.  It was, instead, his shots from further out that cost his percentage to drop from 45.3 percent to 32.4 .

Stoudemire and Olajuwon are both excited about the upcoming season.
