New York NY-  The moment has arrived for the beloved Knick Carmelo Anthony to opted out of his contract. This is not a surprise for most who follow the Knicks. The Knicks suffered their worst season in 2013-14 since the arrival of Carmelo Anthony. Missing the playoffs for first time sense Melo took the floor at the world’s most famous arena.

Many believe that Knicks President Of Basketball Operations (Phil Jackson), doesn’t care if Melo leaves. I doubt that’s the case, Phil believes in a system and he wants Melo to understand that it’s about the system and not one player. With the addition of Derek Fisher as head coach, the change has begun. Now it’s a matter of putting things in place, that will ensure the Knicks are successful in 2014-15 season.

Yes there are many options available to Carmelo Anthony. A number of teams will be competing for his services. Yes we know that Knicks can offer him the most money. Know one knowns what Melo is thinking at this point. Will he return to the Knicks so many factors are involved. First you have to think of his family, how much will that play in his decision. Dose Melo believe he can win here with the right system and players in place? How much dose the Knicks brand means to him? You can go no and on with all of the different scenario’s,

From my expriences in dealing with Melo during  last season disappointments. Not ounce did he talk about leaving the Knicks. Melo really want to bring a championship to New York.
