The time has finally arrived!  We are only six days away from the start of the NFL Season.  In six days the New York Giants will face off against their longtime rivals, the Dallas Cowboys.  If there is any game to start a football season, this is it.  Football is a huge part of the fabric of America and this is even more evident in the city of New York – a city divided by two teams: the New York Giants and the New York Jets.  This season brings big expectations for both teams.  Which team will rise to the occasion and which team will fail?

The New York Jets are coming out of a disappointing season, finishing 8-8 and missing the playoffs.  These events led Head Coach Rex Ryan to take a more laid back approach with the media.  He was no longer making guarantees this offseason, claiming that the Jets were going to the Super Bowl.  Even with Coach Ryan trying to keep the camp quiet, there was a lot of buzz.  No buzz has been bigger than the arrival of Tim Tebow, who was acquired in a trade with the Denver Broncos.  Fans have drawn to Tebow quite well.  Some say he could replace Mark Sanchez if Sanchez does not have a great start.  The Jets are hoping that Sanchez and Tebow will make a great one-two punch for the offense.  So far it has not been good for the dynamic duo, as the Jets have lost all three pre-season games.  What is more horrifying is that the Jets have yet to score an offensive touchdown in the preseason.  The Jets will look to bounce back tonight as they take on the Philadelphia Eagles in their final pre-season game before their season opener against the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium.

Since the Jets have been covered by all of the media, the New York Giants have had a very quiet off-season. It was very surprising since the Giants are fresh off their Super Bowl Championship.  After finishing 9-7, Eli Manning and the Giants went on another improbable run all the way to a fourth Super Bowl title.  The Giants may be under the radar but they still run this city.  The Giants went 2-2 in the pre-season, finishing with a victory against the Patriots last night.  They open up the season at home against the Dallas Cowboys this Wednesday to kick off the NFL Season.
