Lopez, Nets Rebound Against The Bucks

The Nets were in desperate need of a win after a thirty-point loss to the New York Knicks on Thursday. There couldn’t be a better time to play the struggling Milwaukee Bucks, the team who has the worst record in the Eastern conference, now at 4-16. Add to that a 2-8 Home Record, The Nets couldn’t be happier with a trip to Milwaukee.

Brook Lopez and Joe Johnson helped the Nets get passed the Bucks with a final score of 90-82. The Nets center dominated Saturday scoring 32 points and seven boards.

The Bucks offseason free agent acquisition, O.J. Mayo scored 22 for the Bucks in the Loss. The Bucks wouldn’t go away quietly as they hung in the game in the closing minutes. Joe Johnson scored 15 in the win while hitting a shot clock buzzer-beating jumper with 43 seconds left to sealed the deal for the Nets.

Despite the Nets win last night, Kevin Garnett’s misfortunes continued shooting just 2 of 9 from the field. Without Deron Williams, Andrei Kirilenko, Jason Terry, and Paul Pierce, the Nets will be depending on Garnett until they get healthy.
