November 21, 2015, Queens, NY The New York Knicks defeated the Houston Rockets, 107-102, for their fourth consecutive win. The Knicks have become road warriors this season winning five of seven games. They won 7 games on the road all of last season, and they find themselves two behind that total as we head towards the end of November.

However, the real story continues to be the young Kristaps Porzingis who is about to own this town. Yeah, Carmelo Anthony scored 14 points, his minutes limited due to foul trouble. Arron Afflalo scored 16 points and continues to be a solid contributor. Jose Calderon dished out seven assists. But the star of the show, the main event, premier attraction was the tall, lanky Porzingis. Check out his stat line: 2 assists, 14 rebounds, 24 points, and the most impressive stat of the night, 7, count ’em, 7 blocks.

James Harden scored 24 points to go with 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Clint Capela filled in for center Dwight Howard, scoring 16 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. The Rockets record dropped to 5-9 (3-6 at home). This is the same team that went to the Western Conference Finals last season. They appear to be a team in turmoil. Earlier this week, they fired head coach Kevin McHale just 11 games into the season. McHale certainly deserved better treatment, but time will tell if the Rockets made the right move.

The Phil Jackson Project is starting to take shape. The Knicks are one of the better road teams and will certainly start winning at Madison Square Garden, their home court. The Knicks faithful grow more excited with each win. And, when Porzingis plays the way he did tonight, the fans have a star who they can fully endorse.

Don’t be surprised to see Porzingis get a triple-double before the season ends. A team that would be ripe for him to get a triple-double against would be the 0-14 Philadelphia 76ers who lost this evening to the Miami Heat. Porzingis will only get better which will take much of the pressure off of Carmelo Anthony who seems happy to relinquish some of the scoring responsibility.

Up next for the Knicks are the Miami Heat. The game will be played at AmericanAirline Arena on Monday. The game will be televised over the MSG Network beginning at 7:30 p.m. (EST).
