Greenburg, NY: The NY Knicks practice before heading to Montreal to take on the Toronto Raptors on Friday. The Knicks have been limited in preseason action due to phase two reconstruction of Madison Square Garden. Coach Woodson mentioned that “It has been a blessing for us, giving those players with bums and bruises the time they need to heal.”
Amar’e Stoudemire expected to play for the first time this preseason. Stoudemire said he is excited to get out on the floor and work on some of the things he has been working on over the summer. In addition to having a full training camp and preseason to jell with his new teamates, Stoudemire has had limited practice time due to a knee bruise that he suffered early in training camp.
For the first time this season the Knicks will have their expected starting lineup on the floor. Melo said that “this will give us a chance to work together as unit to see where we are before the season start” on November 1st against crosstown rival, the Brooklyn Nets..
