Jets Transaction/Injury Report Week 2

ByBarry Holmes

Sep 14, 2014

This week the Jets re-signed defensive back Ellis Lankster on Friday. Lankster played a total of 37 games for the Jets previously between 2011-13. This came just after they released defensive back Leon McFadden on Thursday. The addition should help to give depth to the secondary, with someone who is familiar with how things are conducted on the defensive side of the ball.

As far as the injury report, A.J. Edds is the only player ruled out for Sunday’s contest against the Packers. Safety Josh Bush is questionable, as he is dealing with a quad injury and was limited in practice Thursday and Friday. Guard Willie Colon, tight end Jeff Cumberland, and defensive end Ikemefuna Enemkpali are are probable. The main question everyone has been wondering, Is Dee Milliner going to be available? Injury report says that all week he was limited in practice, and is probable to play against Green Bay on Sunday. Milliner has been nursing a high ankle sprain and has limited practicing to begin the year, and missed last week’s game.

From last week’s game at MetLife, Calvin Pace was fined $16,537 for his roughing the passer penalty. The NFL are not taking blows to the head lightly, and pulling the trigger quickly on fines to protect the quarterback. If he has a 2nd hiccup in Sunday’s game, he will be fined $33,075 for a 2nd offense.
