Recently retired Jason Kidd, is already looking for a new job. The Brooklyn Nets have a coaching vacancy, and who better to fill that void than their very own J-Kidd? Albeit, Kidd’s heyday with the Nets came when they were still in New Jersey, but he is arguably the best Net to ever wear the jersey.

Kidd lead the Nets to back-to-back finals appearances in 2001-2002 and 2002-2003, losing to the Los Angeles Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs. Kidd’s Nets then lost in 7-games to the Detroit Pistons the following year. Brian Shaw, current Indiana Pacers associate head coach is the other candidate standing in Kidd’s way for Brooklyn’s head coaching position.

Kidd is second all-time in assists, second all-time in steals, and third all-time in 3 point field goals made. Kidd also won 2 Olympic Gold Medals, and was selected to 10 All Star games in 19 NBA seasons. He certainly has the credentials to be a head coach, but it yet to be seen if he will be given the opportunity.
