NY Jets: It’s finally done the Jets and Ryan Fitzpatrick agreed on a one-deal worth $12 Million. The Jets reported to training camp on Wednesday and will have their starting quarterback on the field for the first practice on Thursday. We knew all along something would get done, before training camp started. Fitzpatrick set a franchise record 31 touchdown last season. Fitzpatrick kept the starting job and, over the course of the year, accumulated an 88.0 passer rating, finishing as the 24th best passer in the league by that metric. He also completed 59.6 percent of his passes (29th in the league), averaged 6.9 yards per attempt (27th in the league), and 15 interceptions (tied for the fifth-most in the league).

Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker were pleading with ownership to get this done. Now they have their Quarterback, Let see how this plays out. What does that mean for Gino Smith? Will he be given a legitimate chance to complete for the starting job? Most have written Gino, off do the inconsistency over the past two seasons. Although last training camp Gino was considered the starter. Unfortunately that was take away from him with a right hook to the jaw by former teammate IK Enemkpali.
