Rising

1. RB Carlos Hyde: Carlos Hyde may be Fantasy’s number 1 back if he sees holes as bigs as he did Monday night. With Reggie Bush continuing to be a consistent injury waiting to happen and Frank Gore in Indy, Hyde will get plenty of carries to lead his owners to the promised land. He ran with speed and aggression as he outplayed Adrian Peterson.

2. QB Marcus Mariota: Do I need to say more? If you saw the rookie’s first game on Sunday, you wouldn’t be reading this you’d be trying to find a way to go grab him. Yes, the Bucs were the measuring stick, but 4TDs and he didn’t even have to play the last quarter…

3.TE Tyler Eifert: Eifert secured 9-of-12 targets for 104 yards and two touchdowns in the Bengals’ Week 1 win over the Raiders. A fantasy sleeper headed into this season after being claimed “uncover-able in camp”, the second year TE is paying huge dividends for owners who took him later on in their drafts. If he’s available in your league go get him NOW!

4. TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins: Jenkins caught five passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns as the Bucs got crushed by the Titans, but the rookie tight end put up a huge week. He contributed to over 30 percent of quarterback Jameis Winston’s 16 completions for the afternoon.Winston leans on him as a safety blanket when in trouble and that could mean this is only the beginning. Available in over 40% of yahoo leagues he should be a high target in waiver claims this week.

5. RB Ameer Abdullah:  The sleeper candidate in many drafts didn’t take long to show his worth. Abdullah made the most of his 11 touches last week, racking up 94 total yards and a TD. Easily the most explosive breakout player of the week. The guy looked like he was shooting out of a cannon. Don’t let the Lion’s coaching staff fool you, if he performs like this, he’ll keep getting more touches.

Investment of the Week

WR Terrance Williams DAL: With Dez Bryant out for the near future with a broken foot. Williams instantly becomes the go to man in Dallas. Romo has experience hitting him deep so this could push him into your starting lineups.

Falling

1. Peyton Manning: Manning looked worse than ever Sunday and it doesn’t look like its going to get better. His arm isn’t there anymore and it looks like the ship has sailed its course if you know what I mean.

2.Drew Brees: Brees’ one touchdown performance just wasn’t good enough for what his value is. This, unlike Manning, I believe can change and due to the matchup he should be back to form next week against the same Bucs Mariota tore apart last week.

3. AJ Green: Yes I said it. I’m not saying he isn’t going to produce better than say…Keenan Allen, but with the TDs being spread to RB Jeremy Hill and Tyler Eifert (check above) I just don’t see Green reaching his total value that he’s been drafted at in most leagues.

4. Melvin Gordon: I’ll admit he does look like an athletic freak, but lets face it as long as Danny Woodhead is taking points from him he just doesn’t excite me going forward.

5. Andre Johnson: Johnson looked slow and sluggish vs the Bills, call it the matchup, but I’m just not buying in this year.
