By now everyone knows that the number one offense (Broncos) will be facing the number one defense (Seahawks) in this years Super Bowl. For the Broncos, most of the season has been filled with success in the passing game no matter who it was that Peyton chose to throw to. No matter who the Defense keyed in on, that would leave one of the other Broncos receivers to get open more easily. But this is the Super Bowl, against the best defense in the league.

Demaryius Thomas may be more important in this game than most people are making him out to be. Peyton will be Peyton but his number one receiver will need to step his game up against the great secondary of the Seahawks. Thomas will have the task of going up against one of the leagues best corners in Richard Sherman. Out of Denver’s receivers, expect Peyton to trust Thomas against the Physical corners on the Seahawks. All of Manning’s weapons will have a tough time with the Seahawks secondary. Thomas has the big body and will have to rise to the occasion to take on Sherman.

It will be important to get a good read early on in the game to see how the game will be called. The Seahawks were the most penalized secondary in the league this year and the game will be physical. Which makes Thomas even more important. Thomas will need to use the contact to create his own space. The passing game will also be very important to open up the running game for the Broncos.

Overall, Thomas, Denver’s number one receiver, is always important to the teams success but this sunday, he maybe Denver’s big key to the game.
