Deion Sanders Wins $2M in Case Against Pilar

November 27, 2015, New York City  NFL and MLB legend, Deion Sanders has won millions in his defamation lawsuit against ex-wife, Pilar Sanders. The $2.2 million judgement that the former athlete turned television sports analyst is getting exempts him from owing his ex-spouse money in their divorce settlement, according to TMZ. The divorced couple’s drama has been a tabloid sensation. In 2012, Pilar sued Deion for $200 million for slandering her name on social media, including a tweet that called Pilar “the number one gold digger of the year.”

It was also on social media that Pilar insinuated she was a victim of domestic abuse. In an interview from the same year, she addressed the allegations. “Most recently, every picture on the web would show that my arm was broken, and he [Deion] busted my thumb in attempts to knock me out, kill me, yeah,” she said.

Don’t expect Pilar to go down without a fight as her lawyers will likely appeal the decision.
