NY Giants: Eli Manning threw for three touchdowns, 277 yards, and had a 23/32 completion rate. His play helped lead the Giants to a 24-2 dominating affair against the Atlanta Falcons in this afternoon’s NFC Wild Card game. This was their first post-season win since their Super Bowl run in 2008.

The New York Giants now move on to the NFC Divisional Round to face the 15-1 Green Bay Packers who went almost undefeated during the season if not for the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Big Blue now has the task of trying to defeat the reigning Super Bowl champions.

The New York Giants were not a strong team running the ball this season, but now that their running is up to par, their defense is even stronger. This game was the first play-off game at MetLife Stadium and the New York Giants defense prevented Atlanta from getting into the end zone or getting in field goal position.

Some key stats from the game:
Brandon Jacobs -14 rushes and 92 total yards
Ahmad Bradshaw -14 rushes and 63 total yards
Hakeem Nicks – 6 receptions, 2 touchdowns and 115 total yards
Mario Manningham – 4 receptions, 1 touchdown, and 68 total yards
Victor Cruz – 2 receptions and 28 total yards
