Led by a dynamic backcourt and a rotating cast of frontcourt complements, The Louisville Cardinals cruised to a Big East Tournament Championship, winning each of their games by double figures. Russ Smith led the way with the scoring, but it was his and Peyton Siva’s constant ball pressure that forced 59 turnovers over the three tournament games. With Luke Hancock locked in from three point range and Gorgui Dieng controlling the paint, the Cardinals look poised for a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. In addition, Freshman Montrezl Harrell has the best game of his career in the Big East final against Syracuse and could be a major x-factor that has been lacking all year.
