Back To Business

NY Knicks:  The Knicks were back at the World’s Most Famous Arena last tonight after a successful two game road trip against the Washington Wizards and the Detriot Pistons.  It looks like the offense is finally starting to click, with a blowout win in Detriot.  The  Knicks will try to even up a terrible loss to the Bobcats on last Monday.  The Bobcats got off to an early 10 to 0 start before the Knicks woke up. Rookie stand-out Iman Shumpert got things going with a steal and a lay-in.  Then it was business as usual, Melo and Amar’e started to heat up.  The Knicks would keep things close throughout the second quarter.  Amar’s Stoudemire really got it going, scoring 15 points in the first half.  At one point in the third quarter the Knicks’ lead would grow to ten.  But the Bobcats fought back, cutting the lead to three by the end of the third.  It was an up-and-down fourth quarter with the Knicks holding on to a  three- point lead. Finally with 2:55 left in the 4th – DJ Augustine went for three and the tie.. You could hear the crowd moaning, would it be deja vu all over again?  Not on this night – it was the Knicks’ defense that secured the victory, 91 t0 87 in the final.
